He holds a Doctorate in Philosophy in Clinical Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University, a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Ohio State University, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and has done Master’s work in Human Development at Walsh University. He is a graduate of the prestigious Shuster Center (Center for Professional Development) in Scottsdale Arizona, a Management and Systems training program considered to be the equivalent of Harvard School of business for dentists. Dr. Dave was a standout high school athlete and all-American in football. After his record breaking high school career in football he attended Pitt on a full athletic scholarship and was a member of the 1973 Fiesta Bowl Team, the 1975 Sun Bowl Championship team, and the 1977 Sugar Bowl Championship team that would become the 1976 National Champions. On that team in 1976—his senior year—Dr. Dave’s number was called to be the #1 Quarterback on the #2 team for three plays !! He has been telling his story of those three plays that haunted him for many years at the LaRed International Training center and around the United States. His story has brought many to laughter and tears, as many relate to being called on to produce under the enormous pressures of life. He was one of the keynote speakers at the Rally in the Valley in 2013 in Youngstown Ohio at the Covelli Center alongside NFL hall of fame player Mike Singletary and the well-known TV star from Duck Dynasty, Phil Robertson. Dr. Dave was also the keynote speaker in 2015 for the Alabama Prison systems annual executive banquet. He will be one of the speakers in 2016 at the National Christian Counseling Association’s annual convention in Louisville, Kentucky and the National Christian Conservative Church’s annual retreat in Tennessee. Dr. Dave is the founder of the Center for Preventive Dentistry and is still a practicing dentist in Dover, Ohio for 35 years and continues to “restore” mouths and live. He was a member of the world-renowned Parker-Mahan Study Club out of Fort Collins, Colorado and was a co-founder of the North Coast Study Club. He is also a graduate of the Dawson Institute out of St. Petersburg Florida, known to develop the best dentists in the world. He has been a clinical instructor at Stark State University and Jefferson Community College teaching young students the art and science of Dentistry. He is the co-founder and developer of the Global Entrepreneur’s Institute, a character-building program that has grown virally around the world and is currently in over 18 nations and 13 U.S. states. He is also a Master Coach in the GEI. The GEI has over 180 international graduates of the program in which several have gone on to lead training in governments, prisons and the military in the U.S and abroad. Because of his passion for development he has developed “Face to Face” training in Personal Mastery that is given three times a year at the training headquarters in Berlin, Ohio. Soon the GEI Alumni and faculty will launch their online training in Personal Mastery, that will be available around the world through the internet. Dr. Dave is an Executive Coach and graduate of Transformational Life Coaching in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dr. Dave works in the Refuge Ministry located in Columbus, Ohio where he is actively involved in teaching, training and building relationship with men in the ministry for addiction utilizing the La Red Principles and the Arno Profile System for teaching about temperament. He has published a book of poetry titled Divine Intervention and a book called Completion about his three plays at Pitt and how they changed his life. He was a radio show host for two shows he developed “The Heart of a Champion”, and “The Principles of Champions”. He considers his greatest accomplishments to be the lasting relationships he has built around the world. He is married to his wife and partner, Fonda, for 14 years and is the proud father of three children—Alex, Amanda and stepson Cody.
